RNA2DMap

RNA2DMap is a rich internet application that allows researchers to explore structural patterns of Ribonucleic Acids (RNA). Users can show different sets of data on an interactive 2D diagram to learn about the structural properties and physical interactions within these biological molecules. RNA2DMap was developed to showcase the work of the Comparative RNA Web Site and Project. I designed and developed the application. July 2008 - May 2010.

RNA2DMap was a semifinalist in the 2010 Adobe Design Achievement Award in the Application Development category.

UT Campus Map

The University of Texas has an enormous main campus with 150 buildings spread over 423.5 acres of land. Getting around is usually a difficult task for visitors and new students. Even a seasoned campus resident can have difficulty finding and getting to unfamiliar buildings on campus. For this project I designed a 8 1/2x11" B&W print map for UT students and visitors. My goal was to design a clear yet comprehensive map that guides users in their wayfinding process and helps them develop their mental model of the university. March 2009.
